Since I'm aware that the integration of the DLC isn't likely to change (business reasons, mostly), I'd suggest making it clear to potential buyers. I don't understand why DLC doesn't work the same way it did in the original, and why there is no warning or really any indication at all that it might work differently. Anyone buying the game for access to the DLC (as I was) is in for a rude surprise.ĭon't violate your customer's expectations. Nothing in the description on the Store Page talks about the change in access to the DLC. Since I bought the Definitve Edition specifically for the extra DLC, discovering that none of it was available right up front (as it was in the original game) was shocking and very disappointing. I've only just started, but several outfits that would be immediately available had I bought the DLC for the original are only available from a vendor for $350k. In some cases, quite a lot of in-game cash. In the Definitive Edition, you have to buy these shiny toys with in-game cash. Clothes and vehicles magically appeared in your wardrobe & garage (respectively). See, in the original Sleeping Dogs, when you finished the mission with Ming (essentially, when you get acces to the open world), you got access to the DLC. I own the original Sleeping Dogs, with several DLC (most notably various costume packs), so when I saw the Definitive Edition included the DLC I was missing for a sweet price, I was in.
